Partition recovery after disk clean
I was trying to install Windows 7 on a second hard disk of my Windows 8.1 desktop, but it didn’t allow me to do the installation on a GPT disk so that I followed some YouTube video to foolishly made diskpart - clean command. As a result, everything on this disk gone after reboot. What should I do for my lost partitions?

This is indeed a frequently asked question on the internet, and lots of users have suffered losses brought by their mistake. Today, we are going to show users some basic knowledge of diskpart clean command as well as the best method for partition recovery.
Diskpart Clean and Clean All
DiskPart is a text-mode command interpreter in most Windows operating systems, and this tool enables you to manage disks, partitions, or volumes by typing commands, which definitely include the Clean and Clean All commands.
Diskpart – Clean: remove all partitions or volumes on this disk. On MBR disks, only the MBR partitioning information and hidden sector information are overwritten. On GPT disks, the GPT partitioning information, including the Protective MBR, is overwritten.
Diskpart – Clean All: it specifies that every sector on the disk is zeroed, which completely deletes all data contained on the disk.
If you just performed the Clean command rather than Clean All, it’s possible to recover all lost partitions since this command just overwrites information of partition table and hidden sector. However, if you used the Clean All command, there is no chance to recover lost partitions as well as data.
