BOOTMGR is missing after cloning HD to SSD
After cloning a HDD to SSD, you may receive such an error: BOOTMGR is Missing. And it is largely caused by boot sector damage or wrong active partition setting. Then, you searched for solutions on the internet, and most of the time you would be suggested to repair system by using Windows installation CD, DVD, or USB drive:
Step 1: insert the installation media to CD driver, then shut down the computer, and next remove all peripherals except for mouse, keyboard, and the SSD.
Step 2: turn on computer, enter into BIOS, and set the installation media as the default boot disc. In addition, remember to tap on F10 to save all previous changes and quit from BIOS.
Step 3: choose Repair your computer in Install now screen.
