Resize a volume set
- To resize a volume set
1. Select a disk.
2. Click View Volume Sets.
3. Click Operations Resize.
4. Type the number of megabytes for the volume set size.
5. Click OK.
A visual representation of the resized volume is displayed in the disk map.
Tips
In step 4, you can also drag the right edge of the volume set to resize it larger or smaller.
When you enlarge a volume set, there must be free space adjacent to it. If, for example, there is a partition next to the last volume segment, you will be restricted to a small increase in size.
When you reduce the size of a volume set, ServerMagic shifts the data from the last segment to one or more other segments in the volume set. If the other segments in the set have little or no free space, you will be restricted to a small decrease.
