Check a partition/volume set for errors
- To check a partition/volume set for errors
1. Select a disk and a partition or volume set.
2. Click Operations > Check for Errors.
ServerMagic can only check partitions that it can lock (that is, partitions that have no open files on them). Consequently, the Check for Errors option may sometimes be dimmed (unavailable).
3. To fix an error on an NTFS or Linux Ext-2/Ext3 volume, highlight the problem > click Fix.
